Meet Annie

Annie’s creative flair for cooking began at a early age. With her mom working part time, Annie helped plan and prepare dinners and discovered the simple joys of blending a few ingredients to create a great dish. She especially remembers an extravagant brunch she planned for Mother’s Day when she was 12 or 13. Her made-from-scratch apricot almond pastries and egg dishes were a big hit that day, but what she found most satisfying was the enjoyment it brought to others, a passion that still motivates her today.

Annie’s culinary skills developed through various jobs in the food industry, adding experience to her natural ability. The idea for her own business took root one day when her dad showed her an article featuring a personal chef and encouraged her to consider the concept. Annie’s Cooking Tonight was born in May 1998, one of the first personal chef services in the Twin Cities. In a short time, Annie had built a solid clientele of those who appreciated her gift for combining appealing flavor and artistic style.

Awards and media recognition followed, and the business expanded to include corporate and private catering…and Annie’s husband. Today you’ll find Brian juggling many roles: customer service, sales, delivery, shopping, prep work, cooking, dishwashing (yes, ladies, we do lend him out). The team works hard to fulfill their mission of providing fabulous, fresh cuisine artistically presented, with a personal approach that pays careful attention to the unique needs of each client.  Now, after 20 years of business, Annie’s Cooking Tonight offers personal chef services to a very diverse clientele, corporate and in-home catering and, most recently, rock and roll catering where they have fed crew, production and artists.  Artists like Prince, Bruce Springsteen, Adele, Ringo Starr, Bob Dylan, Bon Jovi and hundreds of other acts/events.
